| Aug. 20, 2004 | The fender pads still allow goo to get slung onto the boat. The fender pads do not sit flush against the fender. While they are bolted to the top of the fender, the base of the pads are held about 1.5" away at the bottom of the fender by the mounting bracket. Goo still gets slung out thru this crack. Can't force the base to sit flush, because the fenders are too narrow. If the pads are flush on the bottom of the fender, they will rub the tires. Can't reverse the fenders, because the tire would then be cut by the outside edge of the fender. | Replacing the 7" wide stock fenders with 9" wide fenders purchased at West Marine. This seems to have addressed the problem. |
| Aug. 11, 2004 | The trailer brakes are drums, and generate brake and rust dust. If the trailer picks up any moisture on the road (like driving through a gutter), the dust mixes with the water, and gets slung up onto the hull. The stock Pacific fenders are too narrow to block the grime. | On Pacific Trailer's recommendations, purchased a pair of "fender pads" - carpeted wood pieces designed to block the inside of the fender well. They are held in place with a metal bracket. |
| June 1, 2002 | The side lights occasionally malfunction. | The side lights ground through the frame. After a year of use, they developed problems grounding, but wiggling the lights and spraying them with a corrosion blocker/penetrant fixed the problem. Reoccurs occasionally. |
