Currently installed: Raymarine DS600X

In Service: 26-MAY-2005
Sept. 19, 2009 Voltage monitor is consistently reading 1.5V low. This causes spurious "Low Voltage" alarms, and the audible alamr can not be permanently silenced. Very annoying....but the sonar unit is still usable. None...this unit is no longer being made, and Raymarine will not repair it. They will only replace it, at a flat cost of $500.00.
Oct. 14, 2008 Screen loses contrast late in the day. Almost unreadable. None...Suspect head buildup from the afternoon sun is affecting the LCD display. The Bottomline fishfinders plus other color LCDs have reported similar issues.
June, 2005 The digital processor appears to get confused by dense schools of bait. On several occasions, we could see dense schools of bait below the boat, which the sonar registered as a false bottom. We were ready to set everything manually, but Raymarine's advice - set only the range manually. This seems to work.
