A North Carolina class act...Jones Brothers Marine
Motor
Paradigm Shift is powered by twin Yamaha F150 4-strokes. These engines have turned out to be real workhorses, and have gotten great gas mileage.Note the dual water separator filters (right). These are not factory-standard, they were a special request by Capt. Scott.
Electronics
Capt. Leon opted for Raymarine electronics: an integrated sonar/GPS mapping unit (the A65), and a 5400 VHF. No radar yet, but the boat has plenty of room for a large display
Fishing & Other Features
The 45 gallon oval bait tank is standard. It does a good job keeping bait alive. However, we would have preferred a lift or spring to keep the hatch open when scooping bait, and a little larger opening.
The boat has 4 gunnel rod holders, in addition to the rocket launchers on the leaning post rail and the T-top. Note the different offsets on the holder angles. This is intentional - by setting up the forward rod holders so that they point out slightly, the forward lines are less likely to tangle with the rear lines on a strike.
The center console has a locker with built-in leader spool holders.
