EXAMPLES

If your two devices BOTH HAVE NMEA + and - wires:

TALKER Connects to...
LISTENER
NMEA Output (+) NMEA Input (+)
NMEA Output (-) NMEA Input (-)


If your TALKER has only NMEA +, but the LISTENER has + and - wires:

TALKER Connects to...
LISTENER
NMEA Output (+) NMEA Input (+)
Power (-) or NMEA Input (-)

If your LISTENER has only NMEA +, but the TALKER has + and - wires:

TALKER Connects to...
LISTENER
NMEA Output (+) NMEA Input (+)
NMEA Output (-) Leave talker's Output (-) disconnected
Power (-) NMEA Input (-)


If your two devices BOTH HAVE NMEA + ONLY:

TALKER Connects to...
LISTENER
NMEA Output (+) NMEA Input (+)
Power (-) Power (-)

 

If you have a "Common Ground" or "CGROUND" wire

  • If there is only one, leave it disconnected
  • If there is one on each device, connect CGROUNDs together
