Ray's boat has the standard set of equipment: Ratheon L470 dual frequency sonar, Uniden Solara VHF radio with 8 foot antenna, and a Garmin 126 mapping GPS unit . Click in one of the rectangles in the picture on the right to see a close-up view.

R ay chose a thru-hull transducer to provide the best sonar image. The picture to the right shows his installation of the bronze dual frequency / speed / temp transducer.

Other Stuff

Ray doesn't use live bait for chum, prefering instead to use frozen chum buckets. As a result, he has plenty of room for the stock Edgewater Captain's chairs. Note the position of the stern quarter rails, and the completely open stern area.

Captain Ray currently stores the boat on a trailer in a storage yard, but when he first purchased the boat, he had length constraints similar to those we faced in Toy Boat 2. He wound up with a swing-away tongue on his Pacific Trailer. Note that he does not have brakes on the trailer.
