There were only 4 responses, so your odds of winning that $100.00 gift
certificate would have been pretty good, HAD YOU REGISTERED!!
Next Month's survey will be on Safety, and will be available soon. Be sure
to check for it, or register for e-mail notification and we'll let
you know when it's available.
Following are some notes on the results:
"How to Pay for OSJ?"

 The
majority said to go to publishing an issue every 3 months .
We'll take that under serious consideration. This is a lot of work!

The majority said they would be willing to go with a combination of
advertising and a subscription fee. See the next section on
"Google Advertising" , and do what you can to help us out. We're
going to hold off on the subscription fee a while longer.

The majority said "Yes" to T-shirts, "No" to caps and mugs.

"How Will You Buy a
Boat?"
This is a pretty long survey, so we won't cover every point here, but check out
the detailed
results when you get a chance! Some of the more
surprising responses (to us, anyway) were:

Buying a new boat was not that important to the
respondents.

Being able to take a test drive was more important than we
thought it would be.
-
A minimum hull warranty period of 5 years seemed to be more
important than longer warranty periods.

Dealer financing was not as important as we would have
thought.
Of course, 4 response is not a very good statistical sample...Help improve
the results by taking part in the next survey!
